Most Beautiful Lament
Thomas Morton’s "Most Beautiful Lament" is a disorientating pastiche of mid-1980s US industrial/ dancehall/ garage churn that somehow contains the warm glow of a Jones Dark Loom record in its charming, mischievous and confident moments. It has the same kind of response I get when I hear a Mario Bomba reggae circa–2000. And when he deals in cocks and balls, he’s really good.
