Klein-Verhältes
Laborde

In Laborde, the two musicians are joined by a coterie of assistants, some of whom have been trained to play a particular style of horn-playing called modal stringed music making. Here, it’s the kind of sweet, slow-burning music that creates the impression of being in a cave with no one around, with torchlight streaming in and out, making quietly, deeply concentrated tones. The music is so slow-burning, in fact, that it barely presents its sound as being of any real interest.
