Sketch A
Sketch A

Set in a surrealist's world, this album documents sketches made in the '80s by Eric Sekret and Jacques Pic, two artists working in different settings. The cover of this tape seems to be a recreation of a painting in which the artist has not yet stepped on the canvas. The two artists have mentioned the 'creative process', and it seems that the results of this relationship of 'non-intervention' and 'intervention' are still being experienced today.

'A' sketches are all collected in this album. There is a pretty intense sound, which may have been the result of the long trip that could have taken two or three days. There is also a mixture of rhythms and art-rock.

The tape is divided into two parts. The first side is very easygoing and minimalist, where the cosmic, abstract and polyrhythmic. The other side of the tape is a more intimate experience, where the two artists were listening to a recording of an acoustic concert at the Murano Retreat Center. It was recorded in a corner of the room, where the sound sources could be heard. The space was illuminated by a small tungsten candlestick, which illuminated the two artists' surroundings. The cosmic, abstract and polyrhythmic, are explored in this way. It is quite intense and rhythmic, with a great sense of slow and cosmic.
